What started as a passion became something more when the people around her started to feel it too. Basalt, now one of the most sought-after scents in the collection, wasn't born in a lab or derived from a trend report. It was actually commissioned by her brother-in-law for his wife, Laura's sister, during a hospital stay. Her favorite scent memory is the smell of fresh rain, and they wanted to bring that comfort to her — so Laura created it.
